Coastal Works was awarded package 4 of 6 packages to repair 65 defects identified from damage caused by Cyclone Debbie. The works were NDRRA funded. The defects ranged in size from blocked pipes to the repair of major slips with either gabion baskets or placed rock to replacement of damaged causeways.

A maintenance crew was sent to complete the works. All defects were completed to a level exceeding the expectations of Tweed Shire Council and in a shorter timeframe than the expected duration.
