Peaks Bridge, Dorrigo

Client: Bellingen Shire Council

Coastal Works were engaged to undertake the construction of Peaks Bridge over Bielsdown River at Dorrigo NSW.

The bridge is a three span reinforced concrete structure with an overall length of 45.5 metres and a width of 10.4m. The foundations consisted of 900mm diameter bored piles with rock anchors into the underlying bedrock. Reinforced concrete columns were constructed in-situ followed by the installation of precast headstocks and abutments. Precast beam and deck units were installed followed by an in-situ stitch pour to tie the deck units together.

After the completion of the precast installation and stitch pours the edge mounted thrie beam traffic barriers were installed to complete the structure.
