Coastal Works was engaged to the commission the operation and SCADA alarming of new sewage pump station built to replace Sawtell Sewerage Treatment Plant and pump raw sewerage back to Coffs Harbour.

The new pump station has 3 Large (290kW) and two small (75KW) submersible pumps that together deliver peak flows of up 750L/s. The site has an onsite generator for backup power, a specialised hut for chemical dosing and a dedicated odour control system. The pump station systems are completely automated with any problems sent via email alarm.

The electrical and mechanical technicians from Coastal Works collaborated with the civil and other contractors to ensure every facet of construction and operation met Coffs Harbour City Council’s high standards for project delivery and ongoing maintenance.
